How RepairNowUSA covers storms
Our storm coverage exists to help property owners recover after damaging weather. This page explains what we publish, where the facts come from, and what we do not do.
RepairNowUSA editorial review · Last substantively reviewed October 14, 2026 · Review standards
What we publish
- Recovery pages for major events: landfalling hurricanes and tropical storms, major floods, large tornado outbreaks, and events with federal disaster declarations. Each page covers verified event facts, cleanup safety, stopping further damage, insurance and assistance, and repair paths.
- Evergreen storm damage guides that apply to any storm, kept up to date year-round. See the Storm Damage Recovery Center.
What we do not publish
- We do not issue weather warnings, watches or evacuation instructions, and we do not republish routine alerts. Follow the National Weather Service, the National Hurricane Center and local officials for current conditions.
- Earlier versions of this site generated a page for individual weather alerts. Those pages have been retired and now point to the most relevant repair guidance.
Where the facts come from
Event facts come from official sources, including the National Weather Service, the National Hurricane Center, USGS and FEMA, and from established news reporting, which we cite on each page. We monitor these sources with automated tools; recovery pages are reviewed before publication.
Corrections and our role
If you see an error, please tell us through our corrections page. RepairNowUSA is a referral and connection service: independent providers perform repairs and set their own pricing, and availability is not guaranteed. See our editorial standards.
